Yep. I used to have Reticulated and Burmese Pythons and various Boas. When I was very young I used to keep snakes all the time.
Note:
I'll be away off and on today. It's turning into a busy day for me.

Sorry you're having such a busy day.
I would like some bigger snakes but with my 2 year old that may not be too smart. :P
Edit: I got me a rosehair , I just love all my babies indoors and outdoors. Pics soon!

Can anyone help me think of some names for my new rose hair tarantula? It's unsexed, but it could possibly be a female... but I am not sure... thanks!

Wow, it's fuzzy. Can you touch it? Is it soft?
What do you feed it?
How about Rose?

Yup it's fuzzy, yes you can touch it and it's very soft. :) I feed it 1-2 crickets a week. I thought about naming it Rosie but that is well known with most tarantulas, I want something different but I don't know what. Ever heard of venom from Spider-Man? That might be neat!

I have always liked tarantulas for some reason. Would never want to take care of one though. How do you tell which sex it is? As far as a name Peachy and Wuzzy come to mind.

So far I only know of the molting way, you wait until it molts and experienced folks can tell by taking the exoskeleton and looking at it under a microscope but even then that is hard for some to do. You can kind of tell by their attitudes I heard males are a tad smaller and more fast moving, whereas females lay around more. Females live up to 15-20 years and some have lived even longer. As for males unfortunately they live only up to like 5 years.
If I had to guess what sex mine is I would say female, I'm no expert by any means I've been around them but ive never owned one in my life. I guess I will find out in 5 years. :o
