Chat Room

For the last few days I have been looking in the chat room but always seem to miss Wingman. Is anyone else using this feature?

Go onto the first page of the forum where the forums are listed. Look on the top right in the user tag list. You will see chat. We have lots of good things here that we can use. :loveit:

And the big plus is there are no advertisements like there are all over some other forums.

There are actually two chatrooms. One is called the ShoutBox and is fixed permanently at the top of the General Bird Discussion page. The ShoutBox is also available on its own page and you can access that page from the Live Chat Options item on the navigation bar above. The link for the page is titled Member ShoutBox. The other chatroom is on our IRC server. It is also available from the Live Chat Options menu item. Its link is titled Live Chat Channel. The IRC chat channel page will likely open automatically in a new window or tab. If you get a "This plugin is vulnerable and should be updated" warning, you may either update your Java (JRE) plugin or simply ignore the message and click on "Activate Java". I can guarantee that if you opt to do so it will be quite safe despite the mentioned warning message. If you decide to enter the chat channel, you will have to put a check mark in the "Accept" check box and then click on the "Run" button. After that you may be presented with a Block/Don't Block button option. If so, click on the "Don't Block" button option and then, if presented, click on "Accept" and "Run" again. It's kind of a pain but it will get you there. The ShoutBox, on the other hand, is simply 'there' and accessible once the page loads... so it's much easier to access.
