Sad news....

Went to check on our new baby and found it had died during the night. This is the sad part of breeding Birds, sometimes things like this just happen. Still have 6 eggs in nest Rio is keeping warm....hoping for the best....

Sorry to hear this. I'm not sure if this is the first clutch of eggs but I do know the parents sometimes need to learn to be parents in the beginning.

It is second clutch the first clutch yeilded 2 healthy peracface named Pumpkin and Boo back in oct

Perhaps a single baby is not warm enough during the night. Just guessing.
