I was sitting on the sofa and Amigo walked by the window. He spied me :)

You're not afraid he will climb off into a tree or something?

That is exceptional scenery you have there... providing you have a good head for heights.
Amigo is such a character.

Tia, Amigo is a free flying bird. He's free to fly where ever he wants but stays close to home. I'm usually outside a lot when he is out. He busted me taking a break on the sofa :).

I let him outside after he has breakfast and he always lets me know when he's ready to come back in, usually around noon-time for a nap, then back outside around 3:00pm, till dinner time. He's in for the night after that :)

We do have beautiful views, thanks Jean-Pierre :). We live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas, near Yosemite. Amigo is definitely a character but aren't they ALL!?

And why wouldn't he be healthy living the life all birds should live. He really does have the best of both worlds.

Love that Amigo! Great pic, he caught you even when he is mid stride. Get up Mommy and come play!

Amigo's life is about as enriched as it can be for a parrot living in North America. He's a very fortunate Too! And what a beautiful photo of him thriving among his domain :D

Thanks, Tony! We've had a lot of red-tail hawks in the area recently, I think they are migrating and in mating/nesting mode. I don't leave him outside alone, not for long anyways. We had one overhead this morning and Amigo's alarm went into high gear! It was circling and we could see that it was checking out the loud, white "thing" in the oak off our deck, it's scary! I called him in and all is well. He's happily chewing away on his wood blocks :)

I agree with Jean-Pierre, what a great view. Looks like your on top of those foot hills!

Amigo looks like he was looking for you with anticipation :).
