Does that mean he is house bound due to weather? He looks so intense.

His intense look is due to hormones and wanting to be outside to take advantage of me.."look" :(. We walk the property, daily..and this boy is now very horny! Me being his "mate", makes me a target...dang it! He likes to cling to my head/shoulder/arm..whatever he can get ahold of..and hump it :(. I love this bird to the ends of the earth but..jeez.. really?..Amigo. . really..?

I unhinge his claws and hold him in my hand. I cut his nails a few days ago because they were becoming too fierce on my skin! Once I get him in my hand and calm him with my voice, we are good. There is a lot to see outside while walking around so he usually gets preoccupied with this.

I've been through this so many times, during the years, and know it will soon pass. Keeping his nails trimmed is key! :)

Poor Amigo! I think he and Sucre are in the same boat right now. Sucre has that same look!

Today we are trying to train him to "stay" on his playground on top of his cage. He is not a happy camper, but he harasses my husband to no end when he's running free in the house, and who knows when he will decide to flog me, so we decided he's settled in and been here long enough to have some discipline. Wish us luck!

Good Luck, Kim! :). I could never get my cockatoos to stay on a stand,,there was always too many chewing missions to go on! This is not to say it can't be done, just saying not in MY house!
