Hi Everyone,
Does anyone know what kind of bird this is? A friend of a friend inherited a bird after its elderly owner passed away. He is trying to re-home and knows very little about the type bird and could only describe its behavior. This is the picture I was given....I am trying to do my research before possibly taking in the bird. I've only taken care of an African Grey, so this one has me stumped. Thank you so much!

Hi there and welcome.
Not a parrot of a type that I recognise but my knowledge is very limited and there are others here who should be able to point you in the right direction.
How big is he/she relative to your African Grey? Was there no paperwork found at the house where the bird was living? Another source of information might be the avian vet nearest to where it was living. That was how we found out the hatch date of our blue fronted amazon which came to us for a home. I just popped into the vets and asked them about him, explaining the situation and giving the address and name of the people that had him before and they had all his details on their computer records.

That's the very rare electric conure. Batteries not included.

Can't find electric conure on internet search. Is there another name?

It appears to be a Patagonian Conure (cyanoliseus patagonus), also known as the Burrowing Parrot.
