A rainy day in England

Its not at all nice outdoors so Casper has been taking over the living room, making himself a camp. I used to love doing this as a child and it seems parrots are no different even at age 28.

That's like Amazon fun. My birds fly to the sofa and play in the pillows. With supervision of course.

Yes, we put the newspaper over the top, he likes to work under cover. He has chomped most of the sides out of that big box today. It makes good kindling for the log fire.

I'm playing catch-up here, Dianne you posted while I was writing a reply to Kendra. Casper climbs down from his cage, waddles across the room and climbs up onto the seat of the sofa. Then, to get up to the top of the backrest he climbs up the pillows. If they are too upright, when he gets near the top he and the pillow fall over backwards. We laugh as Casper crawls out from under the pillow muttering and embarrassed.

The same happens to Rosie on my bed with our pillows. I LOVE when it happens, it is so funny. The slow motion fall, the embarrassment and annoyance. Especially since she is not supposed to be on the pillows.

Boxes for sale!! I know a vender who mails out bird boxes and puts nice toys in side and the box is made for destruction by beak.

What a cutie he is to find something fun to do on a rainy day. How I would love for Lady to be more adventurous, well at least a bit more.

I wish Sucre would entertain himself like that! He's a Velcro boy - has to be near my husband at all times, and will only "play" if he plays with him. Today has been one temper tantrum after another!
