Thought it might be fun to write here some of the cute or funny things your bird(s) do that make you laugh or smile. Here is my first one -

I offered a very small piece of whole grain toast to both birds. Only my make Kobe took it into his foot and began munching. Female Tango did not want her piece. In a few seconds she was taking Kobe's piece out of his beak. "Hey that's called stealing" said I

It was snowing yesterday. I brought Rosie over to the sliding door and asked her if she saw the snow. She turned her head, eyes pinning and said Ohhhhh! Then she started chatting in Rosie language while watching the snowflakes.

Late at night..I'll be creeping through the house..for a drink of water or who knows what..I'll go by the birds rooms and it never fails...I hear that whisper of "whatcha doing".. I'll say getting a drink..or..whisper to her to go to sleep...according to jess and Eric..she doesn't whisper to them like that..?? Strange little bird..

Now Nash can't talk, but can mimic me saying Peek-a-boo in his little scream version, LOL. He has a specific deep follower by higher pitched noise he only makes when we play peek-a-boo and it's so cute!

He also makes little whispering kissy noises when I kiss to him. Doesn't sound like a kiss at all, but a small quiet squeak and i know what he's saying XD

I think its so cute when a bird say "peek a boo". Trying to get Kobe to say it.

Sometimes Lady is way to loud and I tell her to settle down or I'm leaving the room. When I leave the room I only go as far as the next room or stand outside the door. In less then a minute she will ask in a quiet voice, "do you hear me?"

Today my birds did something I think was a "get back at Mommy" activity. I had to take my birds to my neighbors in the regular cage for a while for baby sitting.
They did not like it because the dish of peas, corn, carrots and pomegranate seeds was totally emptied on the cage bottom. They usually eat them first but not this time. My neighbor said it sounded like rain coming down.

Our little cockatiel, Jellybean, is now quite the little flyer! :). She is still learning how to land where she wants, she gets close but not quite on the dime, yet. Today I was cleaning the bird's cages/room and had her out of her cage with Chip. She was hovering over Chip and does a pinpoint landing on his head!

Sucre

We've only had Sucre for about a month, and due to mating season and lack of knowledge on our part, he decided my husband was his soul mate. That was fine - I'm not the jealous type! But, he also decided that I must die, and this went on for about a week. He is a 6 year old male Umbrella cockatoo, if that gives you any indication as to what I was up against. Needless to say, I got bitten several times. He knows the word "NO", and every time I would say it in a stern voice, he would say (in his sweetest voice as opposed to his psycho voice) "I'm sorry." It makes me laugh, every time.

The other day, we took him to the vet to have his beak and nails trimmed, and wings clipped, so that at least we knew I could outrun him the next planned attack. He pouted for 24 hours, would not say a word, if we talked to him, he would turn his back on us. The next day, I filled him a bowl of fruit and soft veggies in case his mouth was hurting, and put it in his cage. He said "Life's not fair" 3 times in a row. I had to agree with him.

When Rosie sneezes she looks at me or Ashie and says "Better?" in the cutest voice.

That is her signal that she wants us to blow her nose. It always makes me smile. When she was little I would blow and then ask "Is that better?" So she figures that is what you say when you need some help with blowing your nose.
