Received a salt lamp for Christmas can I use it in the same room that the birds are in

I have 3 salt lamps and have used them for several years around my birds. No problems but place them on something that will catch the slight melting of salt as they warm up.

You just need to be careful and not let your bird get close to the lamp because they may try to lick off the salt. Mine did at first.
