Ashie and I made sugar cookies this morning. Since we are bringing them to my mom's we used real sugar and butter (not Splenda and smart balance as we normally would). We were able to share some cookies with Rosie and the dogs since they are able to eat some with the omission of Splenda. :)

Rosie LOVED her piece. Which was cute. But then she started yelling and demanding more. The sugar amped her up so you can guess how kooky it was here.

Here are a couple pics of my Christmas Cookie Monster pre meltdown:

She has finally calmed down and is chomping one of her wood toys. :)

Haha a Macaw with a sugar rush, whatever next! Fortunately Casper's weigh day is Friday so he will be on the scales before all the over-indulgence starts (apart from the walnut he snaffled out of the basket on the coffee table that is).
Merry Christmas to Rosie from Casper.

I well know that GW yell for more! Salsa does exactly the same thing. Cute, tenacious Rosie loves her sweets! :D

I have recently started trying my hand at cutout sugar cookies with icing. My daughters theater group asks for parents to donate snacks/drinks for the concession stand when they have their shows and I thought the cookies would be cute. Since I have no idea of what I am doing, I have been making a lot of them to practice. It works bc my son has to go to two pasta dinners a week for football so I have been sending them and letting the boys be my ginny pigs.

Rosie has seen all of the cookie making and Jef and the kids (& me) eating them. I have given her small pieces here and there but not much as I don't want a sugar overload.

She has had enough of being given little bits and decided to take getting cookies into her own claws. Today I was giving the girls some while she was on me. She leans down and just chomps herself a bite. Which sent our guest into a fit of giggles. Then later we were sitting on the bed and I had a cookie. She makes a beeline across the bed, climbs on me and literally ripped the cookie out of my hand. She then proceeded to eat it and cover me with ground up crumbs. Crazy girl.

She really is my cookie monster!!!

You have created a monster...lol. You will have to start sneaking your snacks when she isn't around.

Helena - I really have created a monster, spoiled red girl. Good thing I love her so much.

Jenn - B&Gs are supposed to have big and FUNNY personalities of their own. So, I think it was a good thing Lucky needed you. The more time you spend with him and love you show him the more bonded he will become. Which is an indescribable thing. Not being a bird person I had no idea of the amount of love and devotion these guys can give when you are their person. I don't know much about scarlets, except they are supposed to be "beaky". I can't even imagine bc Rosie is super beaky. Along with lovey. So I get a kiss, a pinch and a hole chewed in my shirt all in a 3 minute span. Lol

Ha ha lucky is indeed a lucky dude lol thoe all the time he was spending alone at the end of his stay with his previous owner has made he super crave human contact hes never more than a few feet away it seems of course unless i have to run errands i leave him he hates it... it makes me sad but im working on harness training so i can just take him with lucky is pretty beaky too loves to put everything and anything in his mouth (like a baby) lol and honestly i may be the lucky one after many bites and alot of hard work hes now my best pal now that we have a some what understanding of each other and he has few behavior issues so that was supwr nice the ones he did have are pretty much taken care of and omg what a silly girl .... wow these birds sure are somthin never thought id actually ever have one lol
