5. It is sad that the Mamma & Daddy bird kicked our precious Pumpkin out of the nest and plucked the back of her head and had it raw. Charlie has to feed her now. Pumpkin is a runt and almost like a preme. But she is a good little bird

She has no competition from other chicks for the food. That's a good thing for her. She waits calmly for the syringe to return. I really enjoy your videos as I have never hand fed a baby bird. You make it look simple.

Dianne it is easy once you get over that first time nervous feeling the baby does most of the work! I feed very slow so she won't asperate and get it in her lungs... It is an incredible feeling to hand feed a baby . I have a bowl of hot water that I put the container with formula in to keep it a right temp when you see me reach to the side I am dipping the tip of the syringe to clean it off and in doing so I have discovered that it warms the syringe tip up and the baby really seem to like that....

I will be right over for lessons and experience. It must be rewarding too, especially when you are keeping the bird.
