Did the recent birth of your baby lovebirds inspire you? I understand its a long road to becoming a certified avian vet but we need so many more. If your health is good and your desire strong age should not even be a factor. If you can talk to your vet he or she may have some insights.

Well Charlie, maybe you could start by being a volunteer at a clinic or a rescue? I think if you really want to, you should look into it and see if it would be possible to attain.

That's a big dream, Charlie! I don't think an I'm possible one, though. Do you already have your four year degree? My son did fours years at UCDavis, known veterinary school, and had friends preparing to enter the veterinary program. Lots of required science and math for pre-med. I know it takes lots of smarts, dedication and time to get there.

Being a vet must be much harder than being a doctor - all the same illnesses and injuries but the patient can't tell you where it hurts.
