I don't usually allow Tia on the shoulders. But a female friend of mine let her go there earlier today. Tia snatched a 1/4 caret diamond out of her ear bob like it was nothing, in a single bite. It took me 20min to get her to drop it. Finally got her to drop it. Now I have a jewelers bill to have it re-set. Crazy bird.

Goodness, glad she didn't swallow it. I hope your friend now knows why it isn't a good idea to wear earrings and have a parrot on her shoulder.

People that are not used to being around birds have no clue. Tia is a sweetie. She's like a fuzzy little kitten with feathers. My elderly mom has a Cockatiel. I dislike her bird. Its not the birds fault, she gives him full run of the house. But that is another story.

Rosie has removed my earrings and my mother's earrings. I don't wear them anymore, it is too difficult to get them away from her once she has her prize. LOL

Margaret doesn't wear jewelry now when Casper is around, he is also very reluctant to part with any gemstones. My plain gold wedding ring has not been off for forty years, not for the lack of Casper trying though.

Zips.... zips are another irresistible item for Casper, all those little plastic teeth that need biting off if the zip is undone.
