Sorry I do not know what palm frons are. Neither have I fed. I do not live where I could get any organically grown grass. Do you feed this?

No but I have heard of people doing it and was wondering if anyone else has done it. It seems like most of the parrots that like grass are the Cockatoos and cockatiels also some budgies. About the palm frond I have heard no testimony on it just a picture

I have never read anything about parrots eating grass. I think the wood is safe for perches and toys but I'm not sure about the fronds.

[Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks] an article on giving parrots grass

We don't spray any type of poisons on our property so I feel safe feeding my birds the wild grass. My cockatiels love it, I tie it around their bars, Sassy loves to fling it and Amigo likes to dig in the dirt for the roots. This only happens in the spring with the new grass growth, for Amigo.
We have some Washington Palms on our property and Amigo will land in them (for fun) and start tearing them (for fun), then start chewing off the the spines on the arms of the fronds/palm leafs. I don't think he eats them and I don't think they are harmful but he DOES think they are FUN!
Thank you, Merrick for the article! Good stuff!
Oh that was a good read and the pic were awesome, :thanks4sharingthumb!
