The diva is up and trying out for a career as jewelry thief
All the grey downy areas were completely bald when I got her. And her skin used to be a slate grey, now it's a beautiful pink/peach color. Her feathers are growing back pretty fast, and no more plucking!

She's very cute, whether feathered or bald :)
I hope her feathers come in and stay. IF they don't, please don't feel badly or think it's your fault. My Merlin let some downy feathers come back in on her belly and I was very hopeful. Then she pulled them all out and hasn't grown any since :( Plucking can be nearly impossible for some birds to stop. Hey, humans know better and yet many bite their nails or have other nervous habits :)

Yeah I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed and keeping a close eye on her, checking always for feathers on her floor. She does groom excessively, but like you said, it's a habit. I'm also inclined to believe she's a bit itchy from all the new feathers popping thru.
Whether she stops or not, my love for her never will. Pluckers need love too! ;)
But I'm hopeful......
