Makeup Help

Rosie likes to do everything with me, and I mean EVERYTHING! I thought I would post a video showing what a great assistant Rosie is with getting ready. She needed to oversee doing my makeup here. It's a wonder I get out of the house looking half way normal. :th_shocking:

OMG! You two are..CLASSICLY AWESOME!! Loved the video! Does Rosie know when you are getting ready to go somewhere? My dogs always know when I'm getting ready to leave them behind but my birds have no clue..not till I get back, anyways :)

Mare - thanks! Yes, since I am not allowed to shower without her she is very aware of my routine. Holey sweats and no makeup means I'm home. Makeup/hair and normal clothing means Rosie has to go for her "snoozie time".

What a gem of a video. Was this her first time with the make up routine? I was waiting for you to brush her beak or for her to crawl down your sweater. You managed to complete the job even if you had a very large bird on your shoulder!

Dianne - not her first time, but she usually sits on her stand while I get ready. Unless she is being clingy like today. Then she demands to be on me regardless of what I want. :)

Kendra she is so beautiful. I can't believe how she hangs upside from your shoulder, she is fearless when she is on you.

Rosie also loves watching me put makeup on. She stays on daddy's arm and oohs and aahs and gently taps her beak on the bathroom mirror and watches with fascination. Something new and different I guess.

Very nice video, Kendra. Zaf watched it with me and loved it! He always becomes extra kissy, snugly and affectionate when he watches a video of someone interacting closely with their parrot. He was sitting on my shoulder watching and listening to you two with his head feathers all fluffed up while at the same time snuggling against the side of my face and repeatedly kissing me. Whenever Zaf sees bird-to-person affection he decides that he wants some of his own :)

Soooo cute that she wants to be right on you no matter what your doing. She pays pretty close attention to what's going on too. If it touches you she wants to touch it.

She is a sweetie pie. I don't know how you do it. I could see Kalea wanting to get into the mix with me but she would want to take the brushes and play with them and I would never get done.

Just caught up with the ace video. No blusher for Rosie then, she looks a bit pale in the cheeks? :th_smile:

Casper would probably have been down on the counter rearranging all the pots and potions.

She is very aware of everything I do. She has tried to get my brushes and makeup in the past. I guess over the years she has learned that if she goes after my stuff, she gets put on her stand. ; ) I think you can see her halfheartedly trying a couple times and stopping once I deflect her.

She is actually nervous about being on the counter. If she gets a drink from the faucet, I have to hold her. However, she has no qualms about getting on the bathroom floor, running to the cabinets and trying to get a good chomp.

I love how close you two are. I'm close with Amigo but I can't have him in the house/close with me with other people in the house. It makes me happy to see you and Rosie like this :). What does Rosie try and get a chomp of..?..
