My son bought be a coffee table trebuchet wooden kit based on a Leonardo da Vinci design for my birthday. Great fun to build but what to use for ammo?
Nutriberries... fetch Casper! :th_biggrin:

A bit like this primed and ready to fire:

3254

pulling the string on the right releases the wooden bar from the ratchet, the two uprights under tension then straighten up rotating the axle with the ratchet and the spoon with nutriberry which flies across the room towards Casper on the other side of the room wearing armor, a helmet and shield.

That's really sweet...I need to get one of those and have my son build it as part of his midevil stuff in school

Happy Belated Birthday

How's Casper doing with the armor and shield? Bet he looks cool in a helmet too :).

Yes, belated happy birthday, Jean-Pierre! I'm assuming you'll want to keep Casper at a distance from the device to ensure that he doesn't impose any drastic modifications upon it ;)

Thanks for all the Birthday greetings, my Birthday is actually at the end of July and this was a late present because I was ill the day we were supposed to be celebrating with my son and his fiance.

Yes. Just like that. I love this photo. Casper is poised as if to say, "Yep! I did that :)"
