Today as Rosie was drying off from our shower, my mother called.

I forgot to put it on speaker so Rosie started off yelling hello and then ended up just doing the fun macaw scream over and over. Once I figured out the issue, I put my mom on speaker. This pleased Rosie momentarily. However, after a minute or so it became clear Rosie felt the conversation should be between my mom and Rosie. As soon as I would speak, screaming would ensue. When my mom spoke, Rosie listened intently, bobbing and chatting in agreement. I spoke, more screams. Ugh...I finally gave up, hung up and went out to the pool. Nothing like being shut out of a conversation by a 2 lb bully!! Fresh Girl!

What fresh things have your birds been up to lately?

Haha she's such a character. At the moment there is a standoff between Casper, Margaret and a towel whilst she tries to give him his meds.

I can relate, Kendra. My daughter came to visit today and Amigo dropped me like a hot potato! :(. I was ignored, instantly! We sat, visiting on the deck and Amigo was his most CHEEZY I've seen him in a while, he only had eyes for Kate :).

That is funny! I had no idea he has a thing for your daughter. What does he do to get her attention and does she like him?

Your story of Rosie demanding your moms full attention reminded me of Amigo :). He adores Katie and when she's around he will follow her anywhere. If we are sitting in the house, he will hang upside down from the rain gutters and stare in through the windows, looking for her. We were on the deck, he flew down to the railing next to where she was sitting and started trying to impress her with his huge vocab of two words..Hi There! He kept repeating it over and over till she got up to give him some cuddles and talk back to him. She had to leave soon after and he followed her out to the tree next to her car calling, Hi There!

We ALL have THE BEST birds! Life would surely be different without them in it, they make a special place in our hearts and hold on tight!

Amigo's "Hi there!" sounds really cute, Mare. Especially since he utters it while chasing your daughter around ;)
