We are almost home from our vacation in Hilton Head Island. We caught a bit of traffic so it has been a long night/day in the car.
I am wiped out, but super excited to get home to see Rosie and the dogs. Hoping Rosie will not be angry and we can get some good cuddles in this evening before bed. My mom has been at the house this week, entertained her and gave her daily showers. So my fingers are crossed that she had a good week and is not toooo harsh with me. :)

Sounds like you had a nice vacation and I'm sure Rosie will be so happy to see you, has your mom still got all her fingers since she birdysat your beauty? :th_biggrin:
Well let's see.....you were away so very very long and she surely missed you something fierce. Did you bring her home any gifts???? I bet she'll forgive you if you pamper her for a week or two and she likes the presents you brought home for her, LOL.
Hope she had a great time too, getting her way while you were gone~

We had a wonderful time. HHI is our absolute favorite family vacation spot. We have been going there since the kids were little. It was the first place Ashie ever saw a macaw. :)
We had shared a place with my mil and my sil and her husband & 3 kids stayed about 10 min away. Jef's cousins, their 2 grown children (one with a wife a toddler) stayed about 15 min away. It was so much fun. Everyone had their own space but we saw everyone daily. I don't know if my kids will ever want to go with just their boring parents again.
I was so excited and surprised that the minute I walked in Rosie started saying Hello...Hi! over and over again when I walked in. She started dancing, jumped right on my arm and gave me lots of kisses. Needless to say we snuggled and preened for the next few hours until bedtime. No grudges held. Phew!!! She is preening on my leg and periodically coming to kiss me as I type this. She must have had a nice time.
Yes, my mom is in one piece. But she does have quite a few bruises due to a war or wills at bedtime. Not bad enough that she won't watch her in August for us though.
I will attach a couple pics that I have on my phone. I don't have a lot. I took a bunch of the kids and don't really have any of me, Jef or much scenery. Jef did go out a few times with our real camera for pics so he surely has some great ones.

The view from our deck at sunrise ...Braddock Cove. My favorite time with a cup of coffee. No one is awake, the wildlife is doing their thing: dolphins swim by, deer walk by and of course all the different birds singing/eating/woodpecking.

We stay at the end of the island so across from the house is Calleboughie Sound. Lots of dolphins, birds and fishermen. Packed sand great for bike riding.

I'm glad your mom is okay and still has all her digits, and even more happy your girl was very happy happy to see you and sure proved it in her attention to you.
That looks and sounds like a wonderful place to vacation, Kendra. Thanks for sharing the pics!
I'm glad that Rosie got along so well in your absence and that she is clearly happy you have returned :). It goes to show that she can adapt, as long as certain considerations are made :D
Welcome back
