View Full Version : just an idea

I realize we're not a hugely active community. But would there be any interest in a lottery pool? It could be organized by any one (or more) of our members. It would be open to every registered PP user. So anyone who is registered here would be able to purchase stakes in the potential winnings from any (or all) of the drawings that the pool organizers and other participants decided to register number lines for. Games could be played each week, or each month, or just randomly when member interest happened to peak. Or, it might be decided that games would only be played when the amount of a progressive jackpot attained hugeness ;). The organizer(s) could purchase, photocopy and then post the ticket(s) in our special lotto thread (or perhaps our special lotto forum) prior to each drawing. That way everyone could know the numbers and follow their stakes in the pool by watching the real game status. As the subject title makes clear, it's merely an idea. That means that if there's no interest it sure won't hurt my feelings :). Comments are certainly welcome.

sounds interesting but I am not quite understanding all of what you said. Perhaps a test run? I am one that needs to do something or watch it done before understanding.

Dianne: a lottery pool (sometimes called a syndicate) is where a group of people at work or elsewhere pool their funds together to purchase more lottery number combinations than would otherwise be possible, thus giving them greater odds of winning the jackpot or other prizes. The winnings are divided equally among the participants.
