Casper's going on a road trip this week, we are driving to my Sister's (a couple of hours away) and will be staying overnight. The next day, before returning home we will be taking him to see my Mum whom Casper used to live with until my Dad died. I'm not sure how it is going to go, for either Casper or my Mother.
Time will tell as to whether it was a good idea, or not.

A[Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks] I'm sure Casper will enjoy the trip and be happy to see Mum again and I hope she enjoys seeing him too.
Have a safe drive and enjoy your time away. I look forward to hearing how the adventure with Casper went!

Have a great time!
Was Casper close with your Mom? I hope it will be a nice visit for both Casper and your Mom. :)

We stayed overnight with my Sister. She lives in a thatched cottage that is very old and built with bits of the Mayflower*

The house is very close to an old windmill.

Have you guessed where it is yet? Yep, England.
Today was the hottest July day on record. Fortunately there was a bit of breeze whilst we had our al fresco lunch. Unfortunately the aircon was found to be not working in Thunderbird 2 our big green load carrier car.
*this is an outrageous lie, but there are lots of old beams and the house has an interesting lack of perpendicularity.

What a lovely photo of him on your Mum. Glad he was a good boy. Did he love the car ride?
Our Rosie loves going on road trips!
Sounds like a successful trip :). Love the pics, the one of Mum with Casper is special!

He does enjoy car journeys, usually has one foot on the perch and the other holding the bars on the side of the cage because English road surfaces are bad and the roads departments are still stuck in the last century, building roundabouts (not sure what you call these) everywhere, even though most of them need traffic lights as well which rather defeats their purpose, .
A large part of the journey home was on a motorway type road and Casper fell asleep. Meeting all the lovely people at the care home must have worn him out.
Needn't have worried, it went well
3020Yes, they look quite natural and contented to me :D. Great photo!
