Ah-ha, Sassie Sally is a beautiful girl Greenwing :D. Thanks for posting the photos, Sarah! Kendra has a female GW as well, and I have a male (he appears in my signature :)).

There's one thing that I should alert you about. It concerns your arrangement of hanging toys within Sassie Sally's cage. If you would, please have a look at the following warning: [Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]*WARNING*-Inspect-and-monitor-your-hanging-bird-toys!

I'm sure we're all looking forward to hearing all about Ms. Sally and her life with you . It's so nice that you and Sally have joined us!

Thank you for your concern, but Sassie Sally loves her toys. She destroys them within 2 days and they are replaced every week.

Thank you for your concern, but Sassie Sally loves her toys. She destroys them within 2 days and they are replaced every week.My point is that there is enough string and chain shown in your photos to wrap once around Sassie Sally's neck. Beneath the feathers, the neck of a parrot -even a large macaw- is very small in diameter. If a toy's supporting chain, rope, or string has enough exposed length to wrap once around a bird's neck, it's a potential death trap. Many birds have accidentally died because of this. A bird can die in a matter of minutes should a weighted ligature become wrapped around its neck during playtime. Such fatal accidents tend to especially happen when human caregivers are away from their homes. It's a matter that's well worth considering and addressing.

Hi, Sarah and Sassy Sally! Welcome! Did you and your husband just acquire your beautiful girl or have you had her for awhile? We look forward to hearing all about her :). I have cockatoos, from what I understand..we are from a different planet! Anyways, welcome aboard!

Sassie Sally is beautiful! How old is she? It is awesome that she goes through her toys. My GW Rosie really doesn't bother much with her toys. The exception is if I am holding one or playing as well, otherwise I am her favorite toy. Lol

I can't wait to read all about your adventures!!

Hi Sarah. Glad you joined us. Your bird looks like her name sounds. How long have you had her?

There are many unsafe bird toys out there. Have you ever made any yourself?

:th_welcome2: so nice you joined us. Sally is beautiful! This forum is a great place for new owners and owners with lots of experience. I'm glad Plax mentioned about how dangerous it can be should any bird get tangled up in their toy, I know, Lady got caught once and if we weren't home she would not be with us today.
