Beautiful Too! Quite the talker :). My U2, Amigo, isn't much of a talker, very expressive but not talk. Is Rosie a talker?

Do you think birds are afraid of the storms like dogs and some cats are? Bird looks a little on edge or am I missing something here?

So cute. Poor baby doesn't like the thunder.

Rosie is quite a talker, it may have to do with her age, at 31 years young she has about 60 words, phrases and sounds.

I think like most animals they are afraid of weather, thunder, lighting etc. We have fireworks about every month near our place and it doesn't bother Rosie. But she doesn't like strong winds and will cry so we bring her to her travel cage to sleep in the bedroom with us.

Dianne, I've not noticed a fear in my birds like I do my dogs when thunder and lightening happens. They definitely take notice but they don't freak out like some of my dogs. Amigo has been outside in storms and when they are happening I find it hard to get his attention. I have a great fear of him taking off into the great blue yonder from a lightening/ thunder strike. He pays close attention..then comes on in when the excitement is over :).

Amigo learned a lot of his flying in breezy winds, they don't bother him.

A clap of thunder/lightening is nothing compared to the noise he can produce!

I believe some birds are afraid of storms, if a storm is heading our way and its in the distant with a bit of thunder making its way towards the house SPX and Peepers don't care. Its business as usual with them making noise eating flying yapping etc, to them that is the same type of noise like garbage trucks heading our way on the street...noisy action but gone soon.

Now if there is sudden lightning flashing and loud booming thunder that seems to come out of no where with heavy dark sky's and tons of rain both birds are extremely quiet and seem nervous. Peeps will hang out in the corner of his cage where he sleeps and SPX sits very quietly near his swing where he sleeps and they don't say BOO.
