Hi, I am pleased to present myself here, and this forum may be very helpful to me once I get a canary, (I love the lizard ones :th_biggrin:) I have done much research, as I love reading, and I would want these precious, living creatures to live a grand, long life. I hope I can meet you all, with the helpful advice and cheerful personalities! That is all I have to say for now, so, this concludes my post, (Not very long, you see :th_eek:)

What is a Canarys life expectancy? When looking for a new bird I try to go to a breeder and not a pet store. What state do you live in?

They usually live between 9 and 10 years, not sure yet, though. But I live in Massachusetts, and I honestly never go to pet shops to get a pet from there, the only reason I go to PetSmart is for supplies.

The yellow canary I had when I was a lad lived to the age of fifteen I think. He was called Pip.
