It seemed like such a long drive yesterday to Pa and back but well worth it. Tango is slowly warming up to her new home. She has played with each and every toy in her cage, eats her food well and really likes the little hut for security. She will allow touching which I love to do. Here is her first photo

Wow, Dianne.. she's a pretty little girl :). Quite a good match for Kobe I'd think. I'm so glad she's settling in so well already!

Day three here has been a nice quiet day. Kobe seems to be behaving himself and paying attention to Tango's tail fans when he tries to get closer to her. That is the body language of a Linnie to say I am afraid or upset. The breeder is in close touch with me to continue Tango's training so she will not revert back to wild. I hold her several times a day and just spend time with her so she gets used to me. Also feed her little bits of Linnie's fav. food apple. Day 3 photos to follow:

That hanger with the circles is pretty cool for small birds. They really seem to like it. Tango has a new good home.

Thanks so much everyone. The hanger sells on Amazon and it is for scarfs and such. The birds adore it and spend much of their out of cage time there. Its so cute each day that passes the birds sit closer together. Linnies are quite different from other small birds. Both male and female talk. They use their feet to hold food. They are built for climbing up and down like a nuthatch.
They have a high metabolism, thus eat a great deal and of course have large droppings. [Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]

Love it! I'm happy to know things are going well! I would never have guessed they would hold their food with their feet!! I wonder what determines this trait in birds?..hmm..

Kobe is not real happy today with his wing clip but now I can cuddle him too. The two got a bit closer together on day 4 today.

New siggy on the way.

You're welcome. It's to bad that the size restriction for the signatures is low. There is a lot of detail missing from the pic, also on mine.

Oh my gosh I can hardly read the names on the signature now. Guessed I messed it up and now the sig is not placed evenly in the sig window.

Anyway there are no photos from today, day 5. However Kobe got really close to Tango and began feeding her. I guess this means he has claimed her for his own.

We will however need the high resolution source image to make it appear sharper.
