I have spent most of the day laying around and reading. I seem to have caught some type of icky bug. Anyway, Rosie and I have closed ourselves off in my room. She seems to know I'm not up to par and wants to be on the bed with me. So therefore, closed door and no dogs. Apparently lazing around with Mom has made her sleepy. Thought it was funny that I was able to catch no nap girl catching some shut eye.

What? No, Mom, you did not catch me yawning!

Well, I'm maybe just a little bit sleepy...

She was just checking her eyelids for light leaks. :th_biggrin:
A lazy day with the red girl, ay?
I notice that Rosie does exactly the same thing as Salsa while she's resting... i.e., she clinches her 'foot fist' and rests it on the perching surface. Salsa often does this with both feet at once. He'll nap on a perch without wrapping any of his toes around it. I've always felt it a bit odd. Talk about a balancing act ;)
I hope you feel better soon, Kendra.

Yes, it is always a sign she is sleepy when she does that. Really her only tell besides closed eyes. She doesn't pull her foot up and she doesn't tuck her head in her wing. Two fists at the same time is quite a feat! Salsa has got some balancing skills. ;)

Feeling much better today thanks everyone! Took the kids to a trampoline park for the afternoon, but not jumping. Dont feel well enough for that yet. :) I'm sure Rosie would prefer me sick and home.
I'm sure Rosie would prefer me sick and home.Nah, I doubt she wants you to feel sick... I'm sure she just wants you to stay home with her :)
I'm glad you're feeling better, Kendra :)

True, just home and sitting in one area. She wanted to be ON me all morning. She was having no part of her tree (where her food is). Even though her belly was grumbling. She either flew off or refused to step on. Hopefully she is eating in her cage this afternoon.

Zaf has been extra difficult of late as far as getting him to eat enough :(. Hopefully Rosie was merely experiencing one of those temporary stubborn moods they get into.
Chiming in late but glad to hear youre feeling better. Maybe the crazy weather changes have something to do with it. It was close to 70 just last week and last night it was almost 32.
Great pics of Rosie napping.

I agree Alice. Between the weather and allergies people are feeling icky.
