He is 6 months old now and full of himself. He said his name for the first time yesterday. Some of what he is saying:

Kiss Kiss (smack sounds)
Your a good boy Kobe
Step Up Step up
Hello Kobe

He now lands on my shoulder but still does not want to get on hand/finger. He is pretty good with Daisy now and will often sit next to her for a while. He gets very close to her but she will reject his closeness. I had an awesome offer for a young female Linnie yesterday but fear having 3 birds in a small apartment with a cat. So I sadly declined.
Breeder even offered to tame the bird for me.

There does come a point where we must say NO!

That's some nice progress with Kobe, Dianne. You'll have to shoot some video of him talking when you can :)

He must sound so cute being such a little guy. How wonderful that he is picking up so quickly. I agree that there's a time to say no especially if it doesn't make the family life better.

He does sound cute, like a person talking with their mouth closed.

No..?..what does THAT mean? :). That's awesome that Kobe is starting to talk! Hopefully, Daisy will settle into the idea that this guy is not leaving anytime soon and start to warm up to him.

OK you asked for it. I just got a short video of his evening chats. Turn your volume up and listen well. He is hard to understand, much harder than Chipper was. He says good girl, step up, hello and tickle tickle, look at you. Anything else is up to your interpretations Vid takes a while to start.

He sure is a great little guy! Yes we all have to say no sometime.. Sadly we cannot help all of them:(

That's sweet. I can easily make out the "good girl" parts. It almost sounds like he's saying: "She's a good girl."

Aww, sounds like he enjoys talking, putting all he knows so far together and practicing!

I hear more from him on videos than in person. I think he did laugh.

No because Daisy is a perch potato.
