I was doing the morning dishes, yes, we have a dishwasher..her name is Mare and I had Sassy out to help supervise, (she loves dishwashing time :) ). She also loves spaghetti which we had the night before, so, I gave her some, best after breakfast treat, EVER!

Aww, how cute she is holding a strand of spaghetti and enjoying it as well:cool:. So what do you think she likes about supervising your dish washing ability, could it be the water itself, or the bubbles perhaps? Inquiring minds are just curious~

Alice, I think she likes the activity and movement but she also loves to grab a spoon, on it's way to the drainer and lick it/play with it! She will pick a utensil up from the sink and be totally infatuated with it. She CAN be a sweet pea with me but when Tim is in the picture..not so much. Holy, Moly! I just noticed the side of my sink, yikes! Some scrubbing is coming down tomorrow!

Tony, I'm looking at her toes in this pic..are the ones in the front actually her back toes?..?.. Makes me think about human hands and the way they work..hmm..

Charlie, Sassy is a goffins cockatoo :). She must have Italian roots with her love of spaghetti!

Mare,

I tried deleted your double post, at least I think I did. It is the first time I tried or even needed to because Tony is so quick at fixing things for us!

Hope I did it correctly.

Anyway Sassy sounds really neat. I would love to have Lady so curious! Picking up the utensils and checking them out is cute, from my point of view :D.

Thanks, Alice! Looks like it worked, good job! Sassy can be the funniest, cutest, sweetest bird one minute..but she can also be a snap case, the next. She's a moody thing and life has become much more enjoyable with her since learning how to read her moods and getting her back to her cage, before they escalate!

I actually owned a Goffins 'too at one point. Her name was Daisy, and she was cute as could be! But she really disliked me. I owned her for about a year, at which point her owner wanted her back and I felt I had made no progress with her. Daisy adored her owner so I felt it was best to return her. They are both doing well now. I was bit by her plenty. I'm happy to have had the time I did with her, though! She taught me a lot.

Makes me think about human hands and the way they work..hmm..Her two tightly clinched toes (nearest the camera) are her front toes. A parrot's back toes are always the ones with a large space between them (where the ankle joint exists).

Hi, Abby! Yes, Sassy has taught me a lot, too..mostly, a fast course in, "How to read your bird" :). This is a different morning, doing dishes with Sassy's help. She likes to lick the water off of the metal.
