Well I am starting to wonder if candy's eggs are ever going to hatch! They look OK but they are not hatching? Is it possible that her first batch could all be bad? Maybe I should try to put a light over them to keep them warm? Any suggestions?

Sometimes the parents won't start brooding until all eggs are laid, that way they hatch closer together. It could also be that they aren't fertile, have you checked the eggs to see if they are?

How do you check the eggs to see if they are fertile? The very fist one had a dead baby bird in it and it looks like blood in some ,like baby chicks are forming...

If you shine a flashlight against the egg you will either see a yellowish inside(infertile), or veins, red, and a fetus in later stages(fertile).

Well I found 2 more eggs in the budgies breeder box today!! I guess I should hold up the older eggs and see if there is chicks in them or not! Really scared to pick up the eggs because they are so fragile I don't want to hurt them ...sigh

Aww Charlie, if you don't want to then don't. Time will tell soon enough :).

Agreed, if they hatch, they hatch. Budgie eggs aren't as fragile as you would think, I checked all of my pairs' eight eggs, and all eight were fertile!:eeeek:
