I thought this one was somewhat clearer but you can't see all his pretty colors and his feathers are a bit damp since he had just bathed in his water dish.
I swear this bird is so smart! He learned how to step up in less than one day and pretty much right away. Petco didn't have him long before I purchased him so he has retained his sweet nature and doesn't have any lack of trust issues. He loves to cuddle and snuggle. I've been calling him baby along with his name so now he likes to say baby. He's about 3 months old.

If you take your bird to a window perch and have natural light on him and no camera flash on you will get a much more reveling photo of colors. Cell phones do not take good photos of birds. Please let me know if this works for you.
So nice to hear and see how Stitchy is coming along.

Unfortunately all I have is a cellphone camera at this time. I took your advice though and caught him up by the window, it was a moments shot before he went all ADD on me again!

I think that picture in #4 is a winner, I love the soft light and focus. And as for Stitchy, he is so cute and photogenic. That picture has real atmosphere- you win the virtual trophy for best photo.
Stitchy is indeed a wonderful photo subject :D

I have an iPhone so it's not exactly a horrid camera but there are better. The sun isn't shining yet so much in my bedroom, it will be brighter in the summer months but right now it's kind of poor lighting for taking photos.
I'd like to get him in a harness and take him outside for photos. I wonder what's better or what's different or safer between harnesses and flight suits? Ok just thinking out loud.

I don't know much about them. Rosie is terrified of her harness. We had a debacle getting it off her a while ago. It was the only time she ever really hurt me. Can't blame her, she was in a panic.
Anyway, back to topic...I was told flight suits were like a harness with a diaper. I don't have a poop issue with Rosie, so once I heard that I didn't research further. But I could be wrong. :)

Margaret, Casper and I all agree that life is too short to waste time trying to get a small green feathery bundle of fury to wear something he doesn't want to wear.
We are none of us very patient. :(

I just watched a YouTube video where the breeder was fitting on a flight suit for some new owners of a green cheek, she even said herself that they didn't like them, the GCC spent the whole video trying to take off his little suit lol

I used to hate being put in reins as a kid (younger people may not know what I am on about) but it stopped me from toddling out into the traffic and getting run over so if you are in a situation where you can't take your bird outdoors without a harness I would say make them suffer the harness because they will surely enjoy being out in the fresh air and sunshine.
We are just lucky I suppose, that Casper is quite happy to stay on our shoulder outdoors. It does surprise other people sometimes when he lets out a shriek of joy when they hadn't noticed him. Just have to watch out for the idiots who can't resist wiggling their fingers in front of his face. I sometimes wonder which is the more intelligent species.
