Thanks to Tony I was in contact with one of the best avian vets in USA. I was asking about avian gastric yeast as it related to my EB Chipper. Dr. Spear did mention something I did not know. AGY can be very painful for a bird. Imagine a little bird with an upset tummy and nausea all the time. Anyway I wanted to let other members know about him.

Did he prescribe painkillers? We were amazed at the difference in Casper after just one day of anti-inflamatories last week, he obviously was feeling a lot better. Get well soon Chipper.

Oh no he did not prescribe, just suggested. I was not paying him for his advice. Chipper's little body could no longer fight the yeast infection and he crossed over the bridge. Now, when I see a budgie for sale or re home all I can think about is the AGY.
So many of them have it. My female budgie was treated with ampho. and never developed any symptoms so she is a survivor of this terrible disease.

Poor things. If it is common, what is being done about it? Any research?
