Hi! Wanted to check in to let you know I've not forgotten you all and...Ive MISSED you!! Tim and I have been in Baja for the past eight days, we got home yesterday, around 4:30pm, and WOW!!, the birds were SOOO happy to see us,,let alone my daughter :). Daughter, Katie, stayed here while we we gone.

We had a wonderful trip, I'll post photos later but we were ready to get back to our routines here at home. Amigo has been a cling-on, I can tell he really missed me and his flying outside. He just had his first shower, in over a week, with the spray hose outside in a tree. Sassy and Chip received one, also, with a spray bottle in the house. The weather is absolutely beautiful here, Spring has officially arrived with all the wild flowers in bloom! How's all you snowed in Easterners doing? I've not caught the weather, yet?

Hi Mare... welcome back!

It's nice that you were able to take a well-deserved vacation. It sounds to have been a pleasant time for you and Tim. We'll be looking forward to the pics :)

Hey Mare,
Glad your home safe and sound. I'm sure you guys had a refreshing trip and I too will be looking forward to see your pics. There is no place like home and "normalcy" for all. I can't even imagine what your fids must of been thinking but I can imagine how happy they are to have you guys home :).

Will you be paying your daughter's therapy bills?

Looking forward to the pics. As a no-nothing Englander I think of Baha as a big desert with lot of dune buggies roaring about. I expect my perceptions are about to be rudely awakened.

Thanks! :). Haha, Jean-Pierre, yes Katie is just crazy enough to handle our birds, she kept reminding me that she's already done it FOUR times!..so..I wasn't too worried about them but she is always happy to be off the hook! :). It was a beautiful trip. Our first two nights was spent in Guadalupe Canyon, about a three hour drive after crossing the border in Calexico/Mexicali, to a magical hot springs canyon. Yes, Baja is mostly desert but there is so much beauty there. Here are a few pics of Canyon de Guadalupe.

This first one was taken on the way there.[Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]

Okay..my sucky photobucket just seized up :(. I'll post more later..

I always love your photos. Did you ever get that conure?

Dianne, the conure is coming by way of my sister-in-law in June or July. She's coming from Seattle, WA area. Her family lives in southern Cal and she'll be heading down for a family reunion around that time and will spend a night with us and leave little Nelly here at that time.

Photobucket has relaxed and here is at least one more photo. This was taken heading into the canyon.[Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]

It might take two more days for her (photobucket) to give up more :(. Sorry, be patient with us :)

I am really jealous of your beautiful weather. Our first day of spring was....you guessed it...SNOW! Started this morning and is still going.
