Many times we see Pet bird cages that are way to small. Sometimes dog crates that don't house a dog properly due to size. Very often to people overlook the need and demand for rodents especially guinea pigs to have the correct sized housing. My otherhalf has a very tame guinea pig named umbra, she is almost like a dog in nature. When we first obtained her I had a spare cage in the rescue that was a rodent cage someone used to transport a parrot. For the first week she was housed in that and now after much research she has a much better cage. I just encourage everyone to do some research find out what these animals really need from us after all we invaded their homes. 2730

This size cage is good for 1-2 guinea pigs and was actually cheaper... yes cheaper then a cage from a pet store less the half its size. She loves running around on the platform and hiding in all the spots she can find. Was a great buy for a well deserving animal:).
