Linnies preferred to be sprayed rather than a bowl of water for bathing. Kobe has just gotten the hang of doing so.

How cute! Casper hates both fresh veg and showers so I will show him the pictures and he can appreciate what other birds have to put up with.

I so wish he would let me touch him. I just know he would enjoy a head scratch. I hear many Linnies are hand shy.

Patience, patience, and perhaps with a treat held firmly in one hand for him to nibble start tickling under the chin so he doesn't feel trapped by a hand over his head.

Hanging upside-down is a true Linnie thing. Mine "came with the cage" [I was new to birds & didn't know that people would sell a cage on craigslist to get rid of the birds]. They were middle-aged when they arrived. I've asked Linnie people, who say the live maybe 10 years. Sadly, mine are now 8+ years. Quiet, sweet, and love their spray-bathes [although they also love their shallow bath dishes]. Great companions!

So cute! Does Kobe rub his wet feathers/face around in his greens when he's getting his spray?

Kobe does not rub himself on wet greens but Daisy loves to do that.

Amigo does, too! Not wet greens but the leaves in the tree he gets his shower in. He makes sure to rub under his wings and under his tail area, also..a good scrubbing!

Amigo seems almost human to me.

Those pictures are too cute. Digby doesn't care to be sprayed, or be in the shower. He likes to bathe only in his water dishes, which are too small anyway. He gets frustrated as he cannot fit himself completely in them, but he's always determined and keeps at it. It's cute.
