We mostly post photos of our birds. I would love to see any other pets you have. My kitty Christine is 11 years old now and came to me from the SPCA. She is laid back and beautiful. I edited one of her photos last night and wanted to show everyone.

Here is an older pic of Bailey and Teddy being humiliated in their xmas outfits. Bailey is 5 and Teddy is 4. They are both supposed to be Yorkie Bichon mixes. However, I highly suspect that Miss Bailey was mismarked. Teddy looks like a small, but typical yorkie bichon. Bailey looks like she has some Brussels Griffon in her to me. Bailey has 1/4 the hair Teddy does. I never have to brush it, it doesn't knot and she almost seems like she has alopecia. Even so, I wouldn't trade her for anything. I think she is really cute with her underbite, snaggle tooth and thin hair!

My daughter saved this abandoned little one, she bottle fed her and loved her, we all did. She was the biggest love, her name was Monkey and she got grabbed by a coyote when she was around six months old. This is Scooby, going on 9yrs. old, full blooded (believe it or not), Dachshund..needing a bath, after hiking around the yard all day,,and a haircut. [Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]

I have her "AFTER" picture to show you but you know my photobucket :). Her haircut is done by "me", so not too good but she sure feels better! I'll get it up soon.

This is my dog soul mate - Bobo. (My grandson named him, don't judge!) He's a huge lab weighing in at 90 lbs.

This is my true rescue, Pedro. He was abused, neglected and I found him 2 days before his scheduled euthanasia, deemed unadoptable due to fear aggression. I've had him for 5 years. He's supposed to be a terrier mix.

And this is my husband's baby, Gracie. She was put out by her owners at 5 months because "they couldn't handle her" - she weighed 2 lbs at the time. We took her in, and she has been with us for 4 years. (A foster failure, I am.)

Then, there is Boyd. He's our resident mouser. He has a twin, but I cannot find a pic, so just imagine this X 2!

That's all we have right now. I do fostering and small animal rescue on a small scale. I wish I could do it on a broader scale, but we're not getting any younger and I have a problem letting them go when I foster them. Many dogs have come through our lives and gone to wonderful homes, but my husband says it takes me so long to find that perfect home that we may as well just keep them.

Besides salty we have a Cairn Terrier named Tinker. She is a rescue from the local animal shelter. The vet said when we first got her that she was about 3 years old and had already had at least 3 litters so we suspect that she was a puppy mill bitch that escaped. When the shelter found her she was in horrible shape and scared of everyone and everything. After 5 years she still has some fear issues and always cringes when you reach down to pet her. She does not know what to do with toys and does not really play much. But she is a really good dog and learns tricks really quickly.
