Feather Transplant for a Wild Raven

Saw this vid and it made me wonder if feather transplants could be done for companion birds.

I just found out a Macaw on another forum had a wing transplant and is flying again.

Wow.. Interesting.. But i would've let the bird molt then released it.. I'm sure they have their reasons though... I'd just hate for it to get out in the wild and lose feathers.. And be grounded... I love Ravens/crows..
