My husband is in Baja for about ten more days. His brother, Ed, drove in a little while ago to borrow our flatbed trailer. Now, if Tim were here, walking around the yard with his brother..there would be no problem. Brother-in-law walks into the garage to fill an air compressor container for a low tire. O.M.G.!! Amigo's alarm system went off,,full blast!! Amigo flew from the tree to garage roof, back and forth, warning off this intruder! Poor Ed, he says, "I'm already deaf in one ear, I better get out of here before he takes out the other one!" :th_biggrin: that's my Amigo :love_heart:

Does anyone else have an intruder to their territory story?

Oh my goodness, if the breeze blows too quickly it sets my Rosie off. She will do full-on Nanday screaming at the top of her lungs as her "alarm" call, and get everyone all upset. I swear that's the only time she really gets as loud as a macaw...but almost anything will set her off. She's getting better - she used to even go off at airplanes, if there was a neighbor walking a dog outside, if the door to the outside of the building opened down the hall... you name it. And if a repair guy comes into my apartment, she does her scream until she can see him, then it's feathers-flat and a gentle, terrified growl of sorts. She's such an alarmist... and she always does it just enough to get the other birds really freaked out when they otherwise wouldn't be...

They are sensitive creatures, indeed! It's funny what can set them off, most of the time only THEY know! Amigo's outside right now and being very noisy at..? I don't see any hawks, it could be a coyote in the neighborhood.
