So, it looks like here in NJ, NY and other parts of our area are in for a blizzard.
We already got the call that the kids will have an early dismissal. :)
Excited for snow after a mostly dry winter, but hoping everyone stays safe!!
If we get what they are forecasting, I will post some pics.
Stay warm and dry to all in the storm zone.

I'm jealous all we got was a light dusting one night in November and the wind blew it away the same night. I love snow so does my dog.

Too cool for school?
Keep warm and please don't send it our way when you've finished with it like you usually do.

Robyn - my dogs love the snow as well. Bailey is always happiest when there is snow to run through. :)
Be careful out there driving in it, Kendra! Lucky!! We could sure use some more. We had some around Christmas, the ski areas opened for about a week and now it's gone :(. We are due for a bit of rain tonight and tomorrow but not cold enough for snow. If we don't get a good snow pack in our Sierras we are in for another drought year..COME ON, SNOW!!
Well we didn't get but 1-3 inches here in Philly :( but I took the day off anyway :)!

So, we got snow, but no blizzard. Kids had the day off and it snowed most of the day. We got about 4-6 inches. Bit of a bummer!

Well Kendra,
Altho I must agree b/c I enjoy snow too it was a bit of a bummer. We only got 3 at the most. I'm sure no one envies anyone who had to deal with a blizzard but having enough snow to build a snowman, an igloo or go sledding is fun and not something everyone gets to do. Have hope after all February is just around the corner and may hold some winter fun for us yet :D!
Well it's March now and yes we are still getting beautiful white fluffy snow. The weather people say the temperature will drop to 10 degrees F overnight. Most kids say it is not good packing snow for making snowmen but it sure looks pretty. I know when we go out and shovel after 7 p.m. when it is supposed to stop I might not feel so warm and fuzzy about it~
So far anywhere from 6-8 inches.

In Maryland we got another 10 inches of white. Ugh now to dig out the car.

I have one more of Amigo in a budding tree but my photobucket decided to go on protest!
Ahh the green :th_biggrin:~ I remember it well! I have a love and not so love, relationship with snow. I love it from a warm house b/c it is so beautiful to see all things in the city covered in it and folks stay indoors more. But then there's that darn shoveling, oh it can be back breaking (more so for my sweetheart, than me) and the salt seems like it's sand. I find it getting into every room from having it fall onto your boots and tracking it everywhere. I also must agree with Dianne, clearing the car off two and three times is a PITA. But yes, I do love it, as I love all the seasons. Hoping it's the last for this season as clocks spring ahead this Saturday night!
I have to agree, Alice,,snow is beautiful to see fall and cover everything! I can just imagine you all are ready for a warm spring. I was born in Chicago, Ill. and loved the winter snow, ice skating on the pond near us. My mom and dad moved us to California when I was 9yrs. old. They had had enough of the cold, the shoveling and the driving in it!
Of all the God forsaken places to move us..the California desert! Talk about, YIKES!!
Ok, photobucket gave me a break, here's the other pic I took today of Amigo in a bloomin'/budding tree :)[Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]

I am jealous as well. It is beautiful in your neck of the woods...all green and blooming. We are white, white and brown slush at a balmy 8 degrees this morning.
Here are some pics I took this morning. We had a delayed opening and I drove the kids to the bus stop. (Too cold to wait for God knows how long outside)

Wow! Beautiful pics, Kendra! It's ..I can't...sorry,,I feel for you guys still dealing with it! Dianne, I'll have to dig up some records to remember Amigo's weight, his vet seems happy with it, though.
Amigo looks just as he should perching on a tree, strong, regal and healthy! What a handsome guy he is :).

It has been a LONG winter. So ready for some green. :)
I don't think I would like winter without snow~ It would be like having spring without rain~
