Okay, for the custom avatar add function I've just tested both Option-1 (upload from a remote site), and Option-2 (upload from my computer). Option-2 worked fine and is the 60KB avatar of Zaf that you now see. Option-2, however, failed with the 'file is too large to upload' error. That's because currently the upload avatar limit is set to 40KB. I can increase it if that's the error that's being reported by others. If that's not it, then I'll have to check into the matter further. But the custom avatar upload function seems to work properly for me.
