Amigo, checking out the turkey..

This is an old pic from last May but I liked it and thought I would share :). We had a hurt turkey in the outdoor aviary and Amigo flys in to inspect. The sheet, I put up, is to protect from the afternoon sun.[Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]

This cage has held several types of birds for small amounts of time. When I put the Sassy goffins girl in it, to get some outdoor time, Amigo is a complete butt head! He'll climb all over the outside of the cage to terrorize her :(

What did he think of a turkey being in there. Wonder if he freaked out a bit by the size thinking it might be a lot smaller of a bird in there that time.

Hi, Renee' :) The turkey in a cage was a wonder to him, for sure. He knows about turkeys, we have them wild all over the property, mostly mornings and evenings. All I can imagine is, the size of this bird kept him at bay!

So cool that they can hang out sideways and holding onto such a thin branch trusting it won't break!

I'm guessing upon inspection Amigo was glad to see it was just another one of those turkeys he sees around from time to time, sure don't have to think it will intrude on any of his space.

The little twig he's hanging on, was his doing. He barbers branches to fit his needs! Silly boy, indeed!!
