Busy Time of Year

I bet most people are very busy for several days. So far today I have had 6 people knocking at my door which is very unusual. Local church delivered a nice meal to the seniors along with singing. That was very nice. Have a holiday party tonight here. Sorry must run and get dressed now. Wondered what everyone was doing.

A little busy today myself getting the main course for dinner along with some treats. Now if I could just manage to keep them intact till the holiday~

UGH diet time already!

We went to Princeton to do some last minute shopping and had lunch. There were carolers dressed up and singing in the square. Very nice day, though COLD.

Today was like a day off. I FINALLY found the time to decorate for Christmas, got the tree set up AND decorated, YAY! HUGE accomplishment for me! :). I've been hanging with an old friend who lives in Monterey, CA, that had been diagnosed with cancer and dealing with treatments. She is the mother of the girl that my Katie spent 5weeks in New Zealand with. I'm happy to be home.

I am off from work, but not from worries. My fiancees job is not going very well right now with a company switch it has been horrible. The luck we get a few weeks from moving out:(.

On a positive note I am going to be spending a good part of my day in the rescue and with my birds trying to sooth myself and work with some birdie issues.. Pearl my goffins has had a screaming issue lately. She came from a home with about 20+ cockatoos so I thought she didn't really scream well it turns out she has quite the voice, most of the day. Her cage is filled with toys and fun things to do I just think she has always screamed and was left to be and now I am finding this out:). So we are working on it like we did with jackpot, day two with pearl and all I say is No screaming and she literally just stops... i'd say this is way better progress then with jackpot! So hopefully by Jan 16 pearl only uses her voice when she wants/ needs something not just because she was left to scream. I am hoping when her screaming stops her minor feather plucking will stop to as it did with jackpot. The stress from the screaming was driving him mad and I believe this is the last thing pearl has going on. I've fixed most of her issues other then going after my earrings but that will probably never stop!:).
