Chipper and Daisy have been feeding each other for the first time in the two years they have been together. Daisy is not in breeding condition, her cere just cleared up from crusting. They seem to do this in the same place inside the cage. Do you think it is just a bonding behavior between the two of them? There has never been any mutual preening that I have seen. I take it as a sign that Chipper is feeling better now and Daisy is more accepting of him. It so cute to watch. [Users must be registered and logged in to view attached photos or hyperlinks]

That's wonderful news, Dianne :D. I'm really happy to hear how good Chipper has been feeling lately. His recent behaviors are quite encouraging... quite a positive indicator I'd say!. What you've described sounds like bonding behavior to me.

Thanks for your responses. For now I will not do the second test on his droppings because he is doing so well. I have 4 more days of ampho. left to use. The real test will come when they are no longer on this medication. Will observe closely and pray a lot.

Hopefully Chipper will continue to demonstrate normal behaviors and be fine. I'm sure the company he keeps as well as his low-stress environment are key factors. I know that he receives lots of loving attention from you :D
