Can't customize avatar

When I go into settings and click on "edit avatar" I get this screen:

Edit Avatar
Your Current Avatar
No Avatar Specified
Avatars are small graphics that are displayed under your username whenever you post.
Do not use an avatar
Note: if you have a custom avatar selecting this option will delete it.


The software will not allow me to unclick on the little circle that says "do not use an avatar" nor is there any option for a custom one or to upload anything.

Help?

Ok, never mind! For nearly 2 hours it would not give me the option to upload one and just now it did!
