I do not know if the differrence in Chipper's appearance is aging or the Avian disease he has. Made me wonder if others can see their birds aging too.

Hey Dianne,
This is interesting, I will have to go and look at some first time or at least some pics from a couple years back, but I'm pretty sure your right and we will all see some differences in them.
Well after some searching on an old flash drive this is a pic of Lady from 2008. The difference that I see is the little tuff of orange feather's she has above her nares has become wider. Everything else looks the same to me.

I love Chipper, he is handsome in both pics!!
Rosie is still very young. But I can see a difference in her beak from the baby light bottom to adult black. Her feathers have also filled out a bit more. I will have to remember to keep an eye out as she gets older.

I see, in our pics of Starburst.. He's gone from a baby and mostly green, to a mature and vibrantly colored fluff ball...

I see a little in Orsino - his colors have gotten a lot more vivid since I first got him, so I think he was relatively younger when he first found me. Mostly I just see a difference between seasons, and I know that sounds weird, but he tends to hunch more when it starts getting cooler outside, even though we keep our thermostat up year-round. He just seems more ... fluffy right now. Then in summer he gets sleek and handsome again.
There's been a lot of change in Dori over the years, but we got her from when she was freshly weaned - her beak was still mostly black, she was solid grey. Now she's got the mature lovebird beak that's a normal color, her nostrils have paled, and she's got a peach band just between her eyes. And a blue spot because she got her toy wet and then chewed on it.... Lol.

Gosh, I'm not sure about photos but I do notice a maturity level. Amigo has become much more agreeable over the years :).

Salsa wins a Macaw beauty award. :GWs::GWs:Thanks Dianne... I can't argue with you in that I think he's quite a pretty guy, myself :). Okay, I'm obviously somewhat biased in that opinion

The only one of my birds that look very different in their pictures from when I first got them is Dobby.

I got him when he was 6 months old back in November 2013. He still had baby bars and was just ever so adorable! Now, he is strikingly handsome! (although he was moulting when that bottom picture was taken) :th_biggrin:
I've heard that term before,,"baby bars", what does that mean?

Baby bars show up on top of a baby budgie's head. As the bird matures they can no longer be seen.

He's even more mature as far as coloring goes, now.
