Rosie LOVES Halloween. I usually dress like a pirate and give out candy with her on my shoulder. This year I just went with a Halloween shirt, since keeping a pirate hat on can be very difficult with my diva. She chewed a nice hole in it when I wasn't paying attention, so I guess she approved.
It is always so much fun to get the double takes, the Whoa...is that bird real? comments and the questions. Rosie loves kids, so she has a blast being in the limelight and being admired. :). She never gets tired of hopping on my shoulder and heading to the door to greet all the little costumed visitors.
She also fell in love with one of my sons friends last night. She was chatting, posturing and doing everything she could to get to him. When I took her into another room, she had a tantrum and then nipped me. Which was a first, I have always been her person of choice. But it was so interesting for me to observe.
So it was a fun Halloween for the Fitz Farm. How did everyone else do? Do your feathered friends love it, or does the chaos make them nervous?
Here's a pic of us a couple years ago, when she was a baby and much easier to distract:

The candles are battery operated, no fire hazard
