Molted Feathers Wanted

Please send your feathers to this organization and they will treat them with all the respect in the world. They will take any size (even budgie) but love the big Macaw feathers. So, Macaw people please save the feathers and send them to this tribe of Native Americans.

If you do not donate feathers what do you do with them? I am guessing crafts.

I think I've heard of this before. Used to work at a family-owned and operated parrot store and they would collect feathers and donate them to tribes in the area or something.

Yes Spiritbird, I just made a few ear rings today. Nothing special, except the feathers... I'm just learning :).

Feathers make beautiful art! I've saved and donated to the Native Americans, before. I've also sent folks/friends my saved feathers for their art projects,, Heck, why not?! They are always all over the place around here, I pick them up and put them in a Baggie till someone is looking for some. I will also collect the feathers I find on the property (including Amigo's), blue birds, woodpeckers, turkeys, doves, Ravens,,etc.. It seems,,they ALL molt! :)

I saw a beautiful wreath made out of feathers on Jt's rescue site. I bet you could make one with all the feathers you have and find Mare! And it would be gorgeous.
