Hi, y'all. I'm new [emoji16]. My grandmother had a yellow crested cockatoo when I was young and when my grandmother died, Zoe needed a companion to deal with her loss. My mother got a Soloman Island Eclectus. Her name is Bonita. We unfortunately had to give Zoe to a woman who was able to care for her better. I have acquired Bonita because she has claimed me as her one person. I love her dearly and she's my baby. She has lost feathers after a baby molt and is finally getting them back after I've taken her away from a stressful environment. I'd like to come to y'all for help if need be and if I can help y'all in anyway. Thanks [emoji1]

Hi Gabrielle... welcome to our community :)
How long has Bonita been living with you? I'm glad she's growing her feathers back. If you have any specific questions, please post them and hopefully our members will respond with some useful advice for you. And feel free to post some photos of Bonita if you like. We'd love to see her.
Thanks for joining us :D

Welcome :) Thanx for joining our awesome community..
:th_hi::pp_welcome:Gabrielle,
Bonita is a pretty name, and correct me if I'm mistaken, but I think it means pretty in spanish. I am sure she is much happier to be away from a stressful environment. Looking forward to seeing some pics of your little baby and hearing how things work out for you both.
Hi, Gabrielle! A great big WELCOME, to you and Bonita (I'm sure she is :)). We do love pics around here so, feel free!

HI and welcome!! A better term may be "sulphur crested cockatoo" they come in multiple sizes and do have some sub species that are not called sulphur crested. Thought this may be valuable info. I knew a medium Sulphur named Zoe and she was amazing! Actually zoey, but it always said hi zoe zoe so for short it was zoe.

Welcome to the forum Ekkies (females anyways) are gorgeous birds. I have a cousin whose middle name is bonita as well and Lady you are close it means beautiful in spanish which is more fitting to my cousin now as she was NOT a beautiful child but like her sister and an adopted cousin they got prettier as they grew up.
