I started feeling a cold coming on Monday. By tuesday it was getting really bad, it went down from my head and into my chest. Not really worried about it though. Colds come and go.
This is the "Oh no" part. Now Clover is imitating my coughing and sneezing. Not exactly an attractive sound to imitate. I guess he likes it. LOL

Sals also loves to demonstrate his perfect human cough at times. But he didn't learn it from me... he came pre-programmed with it :th_biggrin:
Hopefully you'll begin feeling better soon, Lori.

I'm actually wondering if this isn't something that he already knew. Could he really pick up a sound that fast?

Oh my, they pick up the silliest sounds, although hearing Clover mimic your sneezing could be kind of cute too! Maybe you could say bless you every time and see if he picks that up too :).
Hope the cold doesn't hang around long. Feel better~

Be thankful that it is only a cough and sneeze he is imitating. :th_hehe:

What's terrible is when the birds pick up a cough or sneeze and you're not sure if it's them copying or if they're sick... Had that happen twice now..

I can't imagine a sick bird coughing the way this sounds. It's pretty funny actually.

Josie does my sneeze all the time and it sounds nothing like her real sneeze. After a visit with Ben's son rob (who she loves as opposed to his identical twin tony who she would murder if she could) she started doing a lil cough like she is clearing her throat. It cracks us up every time because she really only does it after she is covered for the night and everyone is winding down for the night.
Maybe this is for a different thread but rob and tony are identical twins and she has always loved rob and hated tony. She knows who it is the second they walk in the house even if they don't talk. How can she tell so quickly when they look exactly the same?

Not Starburst... His copy of his mom's cough even alarmed the vet.. That bird has issues lol

Wasn't implying that was the case here... Merely making a point...
Not Starburst... His copy of his mom's cough even alarmed the vet.. That bird has issues lolWell, when it comes down to it, I think it's rare to find two birds who mimic a particular sound in exactly the same way. I know that Salsa's 'mimic' coughing sounds exactly like real human coughing. But when a large Macaw genuinely coughs... it sounds very different from human coughing. I can imagine though that the 'mimic' coughing of certain birds may sound very similar to real bird coughing.
How can she tell so quickly when they look exactly the same?I think parrots must come with built-in evil twin detectors ;)
