So this was day two and so far so good. She does not know how to step up and is afraid of hands, but when picked she does not bite. For the most part I have left her alone to play and check out her new cage and learn the noise of her new house. She loves to be up side down and I had placed a ladder in her cage that once she used it spent hours running up and down the rungs. She was trying to yell with the flock tonight and her voice is so tiny that the budgies over yelled her!:emmersed:

Congrats, I assume she is a parrotlet. Does she have a name and what color is she? Pics please. :) Parrotlets are cute little amazons with a big attitude. Wishing you the best with your new baby.

She has no name yet, but Calypso and Sea Bright are in the lead.

Oh, she is just BEAUTIFUL!!! <3 <3 <3

I vote for Calypso, it fits her. ;)

I once went to a bird show and this big macho looking dude came in to browse, with this itty bitty blue parrotlet on his shoulder, lol. And she was forever getting right into his face to give him kisses. Melted my heart, and I've wanted one ever since!

This little one is 6 months old and was put in a aviary once weaned. She is all over her cage all the time playing and working things out. Only in the last couple hours has she been chirping at me and wanting to know what I am doing. I dont think she will take long to calm down.

Opal. I think I may add Opal in the running also. I still don't have a favorite.

I like Opal. She is adorably cute. Parrotlets love toys that do something, like turn or spin...etc.
