It's good to be home!!

We just got home from a family vacation to Duck, NC. For the first time ever, I didn't worry about Rosie and the dogs. We had a great time and since we went with two other families, the kids really had a blast with their buddies. :)

I wasn't sure if Rosie was going to be upset with me, as she is now in her terrible twos. I was very happy that she chatted and cuddled without showing any annoyance at my absence. In fact, she did something she hasn't done since she was about 6 months old. While I was rubbing her head, she leaned into my chest and fell asleep. What a great welcome home!!

I love vacation, but I love coming home just as much!

I'm really glad you had a nice time with your family with no worries. It sounds like Rosie was quite content to have you home with no hard feelings. These birds are amazing creatures.

Thanks everyone! It was really nice to be away but I love coming home. My daughter said the same thing to me today. I guess Dorothy was right, there is no place like home. :)

Mare - yes, my mom was here 1/2 the week and Jef's mom was here the other half. :)
